Layers

Photoshop Layers, Atmospheric Layers, Earths Layers, Layers of Soil or even Soiled Layers!

None of the above, this blog is about Clothing Layers. Before you decide not to read any further, let me just say ‘The Full Monty’! Now this might have intrigued a few of you, others I’m sure will have already moved on to a new Blog, some might even be chuckling at the thought.

This article is in no way serious, except that it emphasises the point that ‘man’ was not meant to venture into the colder climates of this world. Our lack of body hair, fat and our bodies innate inability to adjust to the altitude and extreme cold, well accentuates this point.

But in the end, the natural beauty, the stunning virginal (nothing to do with ‘The Full Monty’ mentioned earlier) scenery that only the higher mountain ranges and the Polar Regions can provide override this inability to survive comfortably. The one region that there have been numerous books and that has fired many adventurous imaginations for over 100 years is, of course, the coldest and least populated area in the world…The Antarctic.

In under a week, it is The Antarctic that my body will have to endure, with some of the coldest temperatures that this Earth can throw at you, hence the title of this blog, ‘Layers’.

I am in no way going to be able to compete with Andy Kirkpatrick, but I thought that his article on the layering for colder climates was interesting and informative in a pictorial way. So I thought I’d plagiarise his explanation of how to ‘Layer’ and below is the result!

That’s all Folks!

For those that are disappointed that I didn’t do the ‘Full Monty’, like any man I would have always left my socks on, anyway. I’m sure that there are many readers that are pleased I stopped there…sorry Fourplay!

The cost…the cost is, hopefully, I won’t be getting cold!
